Redmi Buds 8 Pro is equipped with Xiaomi’s Deep Space Noise Cancelling 3.0 system, capable of achieving a noise reduction depth of up to 55 decibels within an ultra-wide 5 kHz frequency range. This system samples environmental noise and ear fit 32,000 times per second to provide real-time dynamic adaptation. It also offers 20 levels of noise cancellation adjustment, intelligent scene detection, personalized noise cancellation plans, and mono earbud mode.
The earbuds support dynamic head tracking spatial audio based on a six-axis gyroscope. Xiaomi has integrated its self-developed spatial audio rendering engine, which is also compatible with Dolby sound. However, it’s important to note that Dolby spatial audio mode does not support head tracking functionality at this time.
In terms of battery life, Redmi Buds 8 Pro offers 8.5 hours of continuous playback on a full charge for one earbud, and up to 35 hours of total playtime with the charging case. It also supports fast charging, providing 2 hours of playback with just 5 minutes of charging, but currently, the earbuds do not support wireless charging.
For operation and interaction, the earbuds’ stems now feature a new swipe touch gesture for precise volume control, complete with haptic feedback. The charging case has a newly designed light strip that visually displays the remaining battery and charging progress through dynamic lighting effects.
On the smart functionality front, the earbuds support Xiaomi Surge Interconnect, smart find, seamless audio switching between devices, dual device connection, and notification voice broadcasting. They also come with hearing health monitoring and a karaoke feature for use with music apps.
